God’s purpose for our lives is not earthly comfort, not temporal pleasure, not security; rather to conform us to the Image of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Living life involves understanding that all things come together for those called to His Purpose - Romans 8:28
If you can't see that God is doing something good, even in times of suffering, you have a cheap idea of good. Good is not comfort, easy growth, health, wealth, etc. Good is to be conformed to the Image of Jesus Christ.
The reason for misery or bitterness towards various aspects of your life is that you want something God does not want, and that you do not want what He wants for your life.
When you realize that "God works ALL things according to His Will," you never have to ask what is the meaning of a particular situation. Ephesians 1:11
Your belief is proven by your love for God. Your love may have fall backs and holes in it, but you generally live your life out of a love for God.
Everything you do outside the Will of God is vain and without purpose. If you do not follow His purpose, what you are doing is meaningless.
God knows the future because He is Lord over it and Author of it.
The future is for Him, from Him, and through Him, for His glory forever. Romans 11:36
God worked through the sinless Son of God, think about how much work He can do through us.
Gods work is a living reality in our lives.
We are being conformed to the Image of Christ, so that God may be worshiped.
If you are really a child of God, God's purpose is your purpose.
When we fix our eyes on Jesus, our perspective is enriched and we are able to be at more peace with the world around us. Matthew 6:22
Fixing our eyes on Jesus means we read Scripture, pray, surround ourselves with Godly people, expose ourselves with more Christ-honoring media, etc.
God is sovereign over everything prior to conversion and after.
Your good in the passage, "God works everything for your good?," is only your good because it is God's good.
Purpose of marriage is to conform to the image of God as a spouse, even with all your shortcomings.
